Wild Roses

Victorian Hall Wild Roses

20160617_091429
These are the gardens in front of Victorian Hall. The roses are now over 6 feet tall and are in full bloom! The fragrance is very strong walking up the sidewalk to the front door.

We couldn’t get anything to grow in the front gardens and it always looked like a desert until I planted a bunch of these wild roses from the other side of the garden.

These roses were dug up from along roads here in the Calumet area. I thought if they could grow in the gravel along the roads then they should do well in our gardens. They indeed do well and need no attention. My favorite type of plant!
